Dr. Semsang Dolma Bomzon is an Assistant Professor in the Economics area at IIM Amritsar. She obtained her Ph.D. in Management from IIM Shillong in the Economics and Public Policy area. She also holds an M.Sc. in Economics (Development Studies) from the Symbiosis School of Economics. Her primary research interests lie at the intersection of entrepreneurship, policy, and economic development. Her doctoral thesis examined the impact of entrepreneurship policies on returnee entrepreneurship in the Indian context, applying empirical approaches to assess the effects of policy interventions on firm performance. She has presented her papers at various national and international conferences. Dr Semsang has also received acceptance to prestigious conferences, including the 84th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management and the Eleventh INDAM Conference. She has also served as a reviewer for these conferences. Prior to joining IIM Amritsar, Dr. Semsang has served as a faculty member at the School of Business, Alliance University and MS Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bengaluru. Her teaching portfolio includes courses in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Entrepreneurship Management, Research Methods, and International Business.
