Centre of Entrepreneurship (COE)
The Centre of Entrepreneurship (COE) at IIM Amritsar is the institute’s dedicated platform for nurturing entrepreneurial talent, innovation, and strategic thinking. It provides students with experiential learning opportunities, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and exposure to real-world business challenges.
COE functions as a dynamic hub that connects aspiring entrepreneurs with industry leaders, venture capitalists, and startup founders. Through a blend of workshops, speaker sessions, pitch events, and interactive competitions, the Centre fosters a culture of innovation and equips students with the tools required to build and scale impactful ventures.
Flagship Events
E-Summit
The Entrepreneurship Summit (E-Summit) is COE’s premier annual event and a cornerstone of the entrepreneurial calendar at IIM Amritsar. E-Summit serves as a high-impact platform where startups, investors, mentors, and thought leaders converge to exchange ideas, forge connections, and explore avenues for innovation.
Key Highlights:
- Startup Expo: A launchpad for emerging startups to present their ideas, connect with investors, and gain real-time feedback. It offers high visibility and networking to accelerate growth and validation.
- Genesis Sessions: Curated discussions with industry leaders offering practical insights on innovation, scaling, and leadership. These sessions inspire and guide aspiring entrepreneurs on their journey to starting a business.
CBDE (Capacity Building for Design and Entrepreneurship)
Conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Education, the CBDE workshop is one of COE’s most impactful initiatives. Organized as an intensive two-day workshop, CBDE is designed to equip students with practical knowledge, entrepreneurial tools, and strategic insights.

National Startup Week
A week-long celebration of startup culture and creativity. Participants engage in interactive games, idea challenges, pitching rounds, and simulation-based competitions, fostering experiential learning in entrepreneurship, investment strategy, and problem-solving.
E-Talks
E-Talks are interactive speaker sessions where renowned entrepreneurs and innovators share their journeys, failures, and strategies. These sessions offer students real-world perspectives on scaling ventures, addressing disruptions, and innovating under pressure.
Pitch Deck
An engaging platform where students craft and present business ideas under time constraints, simulating real investor scenarios. It sharpens communication, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking.
Aarunya Collaborations
As part of IIM Amritsar’s cultural and management fest, COE hosts high-energy competitions that challenge participants’ business acumen, strategic decision-making, and creative problem-solving in dynamic formats.
