Harshit Maurya is an Assistant Professor in the IT and Computational Systems area at the Indian Institute of Management Amritsar. He previously served as an Assistant Professor in the Information Systems and Analytics area at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS). He earned his PhD in Information Systems from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technical University (HBTU), Kanpur, where he graduated as a Gold Medalist.

His research interests encompass Generative Artificial Intelligence, Future of Work, Human-AI Collaboration, and Computationally Intensive Theory Construction. His work has been recognized internationally, with acceptance at prestigious conferences and workshops, including the International Conference on Information Systems, JAIS Theory Development Workshops, and SIG HCI Workshops. Additionally, his work has been published in renowned journals such as the Communications of the Association for Information Systems (ABDC-A). Further, he has also been awarded a research grant of $5,000 in API credits by OpenAI through its Researcher Access Program to support his thesis work.
