Elected Representatives of MoPR for the officials of Ministry of Panchayati Raj

The 5-day Residential Management Development Program (MDP) was conducted at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar from 2nd to 6th September 2024. The program was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) to enhance the capabilities of elected representatives in governance and the effective use of various digital tools and platforms introduced by the Ministry. A total of 36 participants from various states attended the program.

Purpose of the Program

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) is working towards transforming the rural landscape

through several initiatives, including the localization of Sustainable Development Goals (LSDGs), evidence-based Panchayat Development Plans (PDPs), and the institutionalization

of the Panchayat Development Index (PDI). Various digital tools have been introduced by the

Ministry to support these initiatives, such as eGramSwaraj, PFMS integration, and SWAMITVA Dashboard. To ensure the effective implementation of these tools, it is essential for Panchayati Raj officers and elected representatives to be proficient in their use. This training program was designed to provide hands-on practice and refresher training on the

latest digital initiatives to improve local governance.

The program was attended by 36 participants, comprising District Level Officers and Elected

Representatives from the following states:

  • Arunachal Pradesh
  • Himachal Pradesh
