Despite their significance, many MSMEs face challenges in financial management due to limited access to advanced financial knowledge. To address this critical gap, the Financial Foundations for MSMEs programme has been meticulously crafted to equip MSME leaders with sophisticated financial literacy, empowering them to achieve sustainable growth, operational excellence, and long-term success.
This exclusive six-day programme offers a thoughtfully curated curriculum that delves into essential financial concepts, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow management. Participants will master the art of budgeting and financial planning and learn techniques to develop effective financial strategies tailored to their unique business needs. The programme also emphasizes working capital management, enabling MSMEs to maintain liquidity and efficiently manage short-term financing.
A key highlight of the programme is its focus on accessing finance and credit, providing actionable insights into government schemes, financial institutions, and credit facilities available to MSMEs. In addition, participants will gain expertise in risk management strategies, ensuring their ability to identify and mitigate financial risks effectively. Highlights of the Programme
- Sessions are conducted in physical mode at IIM Amritsar.
- Structured and interactive sessions conducted by highly qualified educators.
- A mix of pedagogical tools will be used, including lectures, hands-on sessions, case-lets, and in-class activities.

- MSME Participants
- Central/State Government (including Ministry of MSME)
- Bank officers and other stakeholders of MSMEs
Basis of Selection
- Age: Above 18 years
- Intake Capacity: Limited seats; selected applicants will be informed promptly.
- Eligibility: Aadhar card of the participant and Udyam Registration Certificate of the MSME (for MSME participant)
Registration fee
- There is no programme fee (funded by DCMSME under the ESDP Scheme).
- IIM Amritsar will arrange boarding/Lodging.
