About the Programme

Global trade offers immense opportunities for MSMEs to expand and enhance profitability, but success in international markets requires strategic planning and a solid understanding of trade dynamics. This AMDP is designed to equip MSME leaders with essential skills and knowledge to navigate global markets effectively.

The program covers a range of topics, including global trade dynamics, market research, product selection, competitiveness analysis, export documentation, logistics optimisation, and compliance with trade regulations. Participants will learn to identify market opportunities, develop tailored export strategies, craft compelling marketing and sales plans, and build strong international brands. A hands-on workshop on using global trade data tools like worldtrade.org will enhance practical understanding.

The sessions also focus on leveraging government support and export incentives, networking, collaboration, and overcoming export challenges. With insights into pricing strategies, success metrics, and future trade trends, participants will gain the confidence to position their MSMEs as competitive players in the global market. Through interactive lectures, real-world case studies, and practical exercises, this program provides a comprehensive roadmap for MSMEs aiming to achieve export readiness and succeed in international trade.

Objectives of the Programme

• To understand international trade dynamics, market trends, and the strategic role of MSMEs in the global economy.
• To enable participants to identify market opportunities, analyse competitiveness, and design effective export strategies tailored to international markets.
• To provide practical knowledge on export documentation, logistics, regulatory compliance, and leveraging government support and incentives for smooth export operations.
• To help participants craft impactful marketing strategies, establish a strong global brand presence, and implement pricing and sales strategies for sustainable growth in export markets.

• Sessions are conducted in physical mode at IIM Amritsar. 
• Structured and interactive sessions conducted by highly qualified educators.
• A mix of pedagogical tools will be used, including lectures, hands-on sessions, case-lets, and in-class activities.

• MSME Participants
• Central/State Government (including Ministry of MSME)
• Bank officers and other stakeholders of MSMEs

Basis of Selection

• Age: Above 18 years
• Intake Capacity: Limited seats; selected applicants will be informed promptly.
• Eligibility: Aadhar card of the participant and Udyam Registration Certificate of the MSME (for MSME participant)

Registration fee

• There is no program fee (funded by DCMSME under the ESDP Scheme).
• IIM Amritsar will arrange boarding/Lodging.
