The Integrated Program in Management (IPM) is a 5-year program leading to an MBA (Master of Business Administration) with an option to exit the program in 3 years with a BSQFE (Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Finance and Economics) degree. The IPM students, after successful completion of the first 3 years of the program, have the option to leave the program with a Bachelor of Science degree in Quantitative Finance and Economics or continue in the regular MBA program offered by IIM Amritsar. Students who successfully complete the first three years of the IPM get into the MBA program without any further entry requirements.

This is a full-time residential program with all classes conducted in offline mode.
From the fourth year of the program, the students join the regular MBA batch of IIM Amritsar. The Placement Committee and Placement Office of IIM Amritsar extend full placement assistance to all students of the MBA program. For students who opt to continue in the program after completion of the third year, the Placement Committee and Placement Office will provide assistance in getting summer internships with reputed corporates.
We currently have arrangements with business schools in France and Russia to provide international exposure to our MBA students. The same will be available for IPM students as well. This is optional, and an additional cost needs to be paid by the candidate if they are interested. We are in the process of working out similar arrangements with globally reputed universities at undergraduate levels. The same will be offered to the students as and when these are finalised.
The institute will provide all the study materials and books needed to facilitate the program.

Age: Candidate should not be more than 20 years of age as of 1st July 2025. (5 years of relaxation will be given to the candidates from SC/ST/PwD category, i.e. not be more than 25 years of age as of 1st July 2025)
Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2024 or appearing in 2025 with Mathematics as a compulsory paper.
Minimum Percentage (%) of marks: Candidate should have a minimum of 60% in standard X/ SSC (55 % for the candidates from NC-OBC category and 50% to candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category) and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations.
Yes. However, your selection for the program is not based on this single criterion; instead, it will entail a comprehensive assessment. International candidates may use their SAT scores in lieu of the IPMAT while applying for the program. Yes. Based on the IPMAT score and the academic track record of the candidate, shortlisted candidates will be invited for a personal interview. The selection process will be based on a comprehensive assessment based on the candidate’s previous academic track record and their ability to succeed, readiness for commitment to this program and the overall motivation of the candidates. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online personal interview. Final selection will be made based on the comprehensive assessment of the candidates. Shortlisted candidates at each stage will be notified via email.
Yes. The application fee is Rs. 2000/- (Rs. 1000/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST category). The application fee is non-refundable.
The students admitted to the IPM shall pay fees determined by the Board of Governors of IIM Amritsar for the IPM for the first three years of the program. At the end of the third year, the students who wish to continue in the MBA program of IIM Amritsar shall pay the MBA program fees determined by the Board of Governors of IIM Amritsar for the MBA batch to be admitted in that year. The fee is non-refundable. If the candidate chooses to leave the course in the middle, he/she will not be asked to pay the fee further. However, no fee that has been paid to date will get refunded in any case.
This is a fully residential program. IIM Amritsar will provide hostel accommodation to the students. Hostel charges will be part of the annual fees payable by the students.
No. Mess charges will have to be borne separately by the students.
All students who successfully complete the third year of the program will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with specialization in Quantitative Finance and Economics. Those students who continue and successfully complete the MBA part of the program will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (Dual degree).
After successfully completing the program, all participants will get an IIM Amritsar Alumni status.
