Dr. Ravishankar V. Kommu holds a Ph.D in Human Resource Management from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, and an Integrated M.A. from the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Madras. He has in the past worked with Turbo Energy Limited (TVS Group).

He has presented his work at national and international conferences in the field of management and has also participated in their respective review processes.
