Indian Institute of Management Amritsar successfully completed the MDP on “Enabling Effective Decision making” for HPCL officials. The program was offered online from February 26 to April 16, 2022.
This program was designed to provide a holistic understanding of Business Analytics for the HPCL officials. The program aimed to strengthen intuition-based decision-making with sound analytical methods and thereby help the teams, managers and leaders leverage the power of data analytics for effective decision-making. Businesses that deal with vast realms of data would find practical and innovative ways to handle different kinds of structured and unstructured data. The program focused on identifying stakeholder behavior and patterns by analyzing data from different perspectives, including individual units, clusters and time series.
The pedagogy adopted in the program was predominantly based on classroom discussions, hands-on exercises and case study analysis from various management domains to demonstrate the concepts of descriptive analytics, predictive analytics, prescriptive analytics, text analytics, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
There was enthusiastic participation and involvement of the participants in all the sessions and the program was well received by the officials.
