Digital and Data Skills to Navigate a VUCA Business Environment

Program Overview

“Software is eating the world.” This prescient claim made by Marc Andreessen in 2011, stands more than vindicated a decade later. Companies producing software, including Amazon, Airbnb, Netflix, etc., have disrupted many industries and upended many formidable incumbents. In short, the software has transformed the world. The disruptions being witnessed today are not a fleeting phenomenon. Rather, digital disruption is an ongoing process. These ongoing and seemingly endless disruptions have created a lot of volatility and uncertainty in markets. Professionals across industries and across organizational hierarchies are confronted with these technological disruptions, creating a constant need for upskilling. This course is designed to help those who are looking for skills that can help them become present and future-ready in a business environment characterized by volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA). The course unpacks the disruptions and demystifies the primary disruptive forces - digital technologies such as cloud computing, blockchain, IoT, etc. The course then draws attention to the epicenter of the disruption - data and the technologies that help analyze the vast swathes of data generated by digital consumers all over the world. These technologies include artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning. The course will also introduce the participants to cutting-edge tools related to data analysis, including Python, Power BI, and Tableau.
