Project Financial Analysis and Evaluation

Program Overview

This programme is designed to provide the participating managers with a comprehensive understanding of various facets of project financial analysis in the context of numerous uncertainties with varying outcomes. It emphasises familiarizing participants with required financial statements, cash flow projections, hurdle rate computations, and assessing the viability of underlying investment projects. With the aid of the relevant case studies and hands-on exercises, the programme aims to introduce participants to improved methods of project risk analysis, including the modelling of real word uncertainties using Monte-Carlo simulations. In addition, the programme intends to emphasise the importance of considering potential real options in the long-term investment projects.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the programme, the participants would be able to:

  • Prepare the cash flow projections for a variety of investment projects, such as new/expansion projects and equipment replacements.
  • Analyse the possible risks associated with the anticipated cash flows.
