The post-graduate certification program in Data Science and Business Analytics (DSBA) is a 12-months rigorous program that is offered primarily in the offline mode at the IIM Amritsar campus with flexibility for some online sessions whenever required by the institute.The students develop foundational to advanced understanding of these evolving fields using hands-on training with in-demand tools and techniques, case studies, and capstone projects.

The classes will be held primarily at the IIM Amritsar campus and the students are required to attend them physically. The option for some online sessions is also open in case such a need arises.

The study materials and books needed to facilitate the program are covered under the program fee and will be provided by the institute.

No. The fee only includes tuition, library access, books and study materials for the program. Other expenses have to be borne by the participants.

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 55 percent marks, familiarity with high-school mathematics and strong oral and written communication skills.
• Up to 2 years of work experience after completion of Graduation (Desired but not mandatory).
• Interested candidates must take the DSBA Aptitude Test (DAT) conducted by IIM Amritsar.
• Final selections will be based on a Personal Interview (PI) round of the candidates shortlisted after DAT.

Yes

DAT will comprise of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) that will focus on logical reasoning, data interpretation and basic mathematical concepts.

Yes. Applicants will be shortlisted based on their performance in DAT, consistent past academic performance, and progressive work experience (if any) credentials. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an online Personal Interview (PI). The interview panel will evaluate the suitability of the candidates for the program and their potential to excel in the field

• Graduation degree and final mark sheet (if completed). Else, the latest marksheet.
• Work experience certificate(s) (If available)
• Your scanned image (max size – 413*413 pixels)

• You should upload all the documents in support of your educational qualification that you have mentioned in the application form
• Statement of Purpose (SOP) (200-word limit)

The statement of purpose should include the following pointers (200-word limit):

• What is your reason for joining this program?
• What are the outcomes that you are expecting personally and professionally after completing this program?
• How do you see this program helping you in your career in the next 5-10 years?

The candidates shortlisted after DAT will be called for an online personal interview, and based on a comprehensive assessment, the admission offers will be sent. The selected candidates will be notified via email.

Yes. The application fee is INR 1500/- + GST (non-refundable).

Yes. The offer acceptance amount of INR 10,000/- + GST has to be deposited within 7 days from the date of offer. This amount is non-refundable and adjusted against Instalment 1. For more details, please refer to the Program Brochure.

INR 1.65 Lakhs + GST, payable in 3 installments. For more details, please refer to the Program Brochure.

The fee is non-refundable. In case the candidate chooses to leave the course in the middle, he/she will not be asked to pay the fee further. However, no fee that has been paid to date will get refunded in any case.

After successfully completing the program which is subject to satisfactorily meeting all the academic requirements as well as adhering to IIM Amritsar’s academic and non-academic policy requirements, you will get a Certificate of Completion from IIM Amritsar.
