Human resources has been one of the key aspects of management. In the contemporary era, with advances in technology and information dissemination, innovation and creativity have become prerequisite for seamless growth. For a country like India which thrives on human capital, the importance of Human Resources is all the more significant and palpable. Innovation and creativity; learning and development; acquiring and taming pertinent talent which are KPIs for any successful venture depend upon how well Human resources are managed.
The conclave aims to provide a platform to the corporate and academic world to jointly converse how the field of HR is being re-conceptualized by the changing dynamics of workplace. The conclave also encourages the discussion on how the onset of diverse workforce has shifted the focus again to promoting equality among the employees.
Thecombined forces of technological breakthrough, changing workforce expectations and globalization are causing a transformation in workplace paradigm. To take advantage of these changes, organizations need to adapt themselves at a rapid pace.
This trend in the industry calls for a discussion on Redefining Workplace. The discussion would be anchored around two subtopics:
Avenues of Engagement
Organizations are touching new avenues of engagement by creating social, mobile and consumer style experience inside the company. Transformation of workplace is not just limited to debunking the concept of ‘going to work’ but to make the workplace 'an experience'.
Growth and expansion of corporates across countries and cultures make workplace more and more diverse. Individuals with different background, sexual orientation, experience, ethnicities, gender and race bring different perspective and ideas into the organization. Integration of diverse individuals into the organization benefits only if equality is practiced.
