Umesh is a faculty member in HRM and OB area. Previously, he worked with IIM Raipur. He obtained his PhD from IIT Roorkee in the year 2013. His PhD thesis titled ‘Organizational Climate and Role Efficacy as Predictors of Managerial Effectiveness’ awarded Highly Commended Award of the 2013 Emerald/European Foundation Management Development Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards in the Leadership & Organization Development category by EFMD and Emerald.
His research interest includes organizational climate, managerial effectiveness, and positive organizational scholarship. His research publications have appeared in internationally recognized academic journals such as Journal of Knowledge Management, Journal of Organizational Effectiveness, Journal of Management Development, Intenational Journal of Organizational Analysis.
Umesh has conducted executive education and management development programmes for Indian Oil, NIT Raipur, Bhilai Steel Plant, SAIL, Hero Moto Corp, Hero FinCorp, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, etc. Umesh was also involved as resource person in Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP), an initiative of GoI for developing management competencies of faculty members of Engineering Institutes. Umesh was entrusted to evaluate the effectiveness of Management Capacity Enhancement Programme, TEQIP.
