Dr. Deepa Mishra is an Assistant Professor at Indian Institute of Management Amritsar, India. Before joining the Institute, she worked at DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University, Canada as a postdoctoral fellow for two years. She earned her doctorate in Industrial and Management Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India in 2016. During her Ph.D., she visited South University of Science and Technology of China and worked there as a Visiting Fellow for four months.
Her current research and teaching interests are in Operations Management. Recently, she has developed her interest towards Big Data field. She has published articles, as a first author, in leading journals including International Journal of Production Economics, Annals of Operations Research, Industrial and Data Management Systems, European Journal of Operation Research, Total Quality Management: Business Excellence, Journal of Organization Change Management and Business Process Management Journal. She has also published a chapter in a book titled, “Innovation and Supply Chain Management: Relationship, Collaboration and Strategies”. She has received 223 citations on 16 peer-reviewed articles and is an active reviewer of several top management journals. She has also received research grants from Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) for partnership engage program and Insight program. She has also served as a Sessional Instructor for Fall 2018 and taught the course titled “Purchasing and Supply Management” to undergraduate students at McMaster University.
