Arun Kumar Kaushik received his Doctorate degree as full-time sponsored research scholar, working on research area related to ‘consumer innovativeness’ at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. He has also obtained two post-graduation degrees - Master of Business Administration and Master of Commerce with Marketing specialization from two reputed Indian Universities. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor with Department of Marketing, Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Amritsar, India. Before this, he has worked as full-time faculty with reputed B-schools in India. He has nearly ten years of experience in academic, research and the corporate world. He has attended more than 20 international/national conferences and workshops, and published many research papers in reputed indexed journals such as Journal of Services Marketing, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing, Service Business, Information Technology for Development, Tourism Management Perspectives, International Journal of Bank Marketing, Journal of International Consumer Marketing, etc. His areas of interest include Marketing, Consumer behavior, Innovation adoption, and destination branding.

Kaushik is currently working in the area of service technology adoption (e.g. self-service technology - SST adoption) and destination branding. He is also having couple of working papers in the tourism context of the Himachal and Uttarakhand states in Northern India. One paper focuses on “the relationship of destination brand experience and tourist behavior”, where researcher(s) is trying to suggest how destination marketers can build trust and loyalty among tourists by emphasizing on various components (sensory, affective, intellectual and behavioral) of brand experience. Another research paper focusing on “identifying and examining drivers and outcomes of consumers’ trust toward online travel apps”, seeks to provide a framework to evaluate the consumers’ trust regarding the adoption and acceptance of various travel apps in India. This study provides useful insights to service providers and policy makers for developing new strategies and policies that will enhance adoption of such mobile apps. Additionally, Kaushik actively participates as reviewer in some of the renowned journals including European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Telematics and Informatics, and many more.
